Lab Grown Diamonds

Lab Grown Diamonds

In Ethera designs, the diamonds used in pavé settings are lab-grown diamonds. These stones share the same chemical, physical, and optical properties as natural diamonds.

A diamond is formed when pure carbon atoms crystallize in a lattice structure under extremely high pressure and temperature. Lab-grown diamonds are created using advanced technologies that replicate this same crystal structure. The most widely used production methods are HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition).

Through these processes, carbon atoms crystallize in a controlled environment, producing diamonds with the same hardness (Mohs 10) and light-reflecting properties as natural diamonds. As a result, lab-grown diamonds offer the same brilliance, durability, and clarity as their natural counterparts.

At Ethera, these stones are primarily used in pavé surfaces, where small diamonds are set closely together. This technique creates a continuous surface of light, producing a uniform sparkle and refined brilliance across the jewelry piece. Lab-grown diamonds offer both an aesthetic and responsible choice for this type of setting.

Their traceable production processes, more controlled environmental impact, and ethical transparency make them an important alternative in modern jewelry design.
